David Bowin IV, OD

Dr. Bowin received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, and a Doctor of Optometry from Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona, with a focus in Ocular Disease. He attended Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.

He completed his training with externships at Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, White River Junction VA Medical Center in Vermont, and Eye Centers of South Florida. He was inducted into the Gold Key Honor Society in his third year of school. This award is presented to students who exemplified outstanding leadership and service to the Optometric profession and is limited to the top 10% of students from each class. He was also elected class president and president of the Private Practice Club.

Dr. Bowin has also provided charity work for vari- ous causes related to eye care in underserved areas, including Mexico, Arizona, and Guatemala.

Dr. Bowin and his wife are natives of San Luis Obispo County and are excited to serve the Central Coast community. They enjoy heading to the beach, hiking, golfing, and everything the Santa Ynez Valley has to offer.
