Dr. Shahzad’s interest in optometry began when she interned at the Shiley Eye Center at UC San Diego. During her academic career, Dr. Shahzad participated in various organizations to provide vision screenings for houseless and
underserved populations in Phoenix, Arizona and Orange County, California. Her passion for treating patients with vision and eye care conditions led her to pursue Optometry.
